The Mall of America 1-Hour Escape Room Adventure is one 60-minute game at The Escape Game, on Level 3, east side, at mall address 300 East Broadway. A group of up to eight picks one of seven rooms, and a game guide gives unlimited hints. The recommended age is 13 and over.
What happens, step by step
The meeting point depends on the room booked. Every game runs through several rooms, and the locked doors have emergency-exit buttons at all times.
- Choose a room. The seven are The Depths (a lab’s secrets), Cosmic Crisis (stop a black hole), Gold Rush (hidden gold in the California hills), Prison Break (escape the warden), Special Ops: Mysterious Market (a secret-agent mission), The Heist (recover a stolen painting) and Mission: Mars (launch the ship).
- Go to the meeting point for that room. Players under 18 need an adult to sign the waiver.
- Meet the game guide, who leads the group and gives unlimited hints.
- Play against the 60-minute clock, room by room.
- Leave at any time if needed: the emergency-exit buttons work throughout the game.
Groups of fewer than eight may be paired with other guests. Outside food and drink are not allowed, and neither are unaccompanied minors. For wheelchair access, the listing says to ask the operator.

Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits teenagers and adults, and groups that want an hour of puzzles rather than rides. Anthony from the US met new people through a shared game. The maximum is eight players, and a smaller booking may be paired with other guests.
