From the Airport to Mall of America
The METRO Blue Line runs from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport to Mall of America station in about 12 minutes. Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) and Terminal 2 (Humphrey) each have a station, and a free tram links the terminals around the clock. A regular Metro Transit fare applies.

Both terminals have a Blue Line station. The train stops at Mall of America station on the ground floor of the East ramp, and a tunnel under the ring road leads into the mall. Times and fares are on metrotransit.org. The getting-there page covers driving and downtown.
A layover at the mall
With the station 12 minutes away, a layover can fit a visit. SEA LIFE is nearest the station and takes about an hour, but allows no luggage; rental lockers are on several levels.
